Belahan Jiwa (2005)
Belahan Jiwa (2005) is a love story at heart, with psychological twists resulting in a surprising ending never found in any Indonesian films before. It tells a story of a strong friendship shared among four women who each have to deal with work-related problems of their own. There’s Cairo, a painter in the midst of preparing her latest exhibition. An architect, Baby Blue, who seems unable to shake off her trauma in losing her twin sister, Baby Pink. There’s also Farlynna, a fashion designer facing condemnation from religious councils for her raunchy lines, and lastly, Arimbi, a psychiatrist dealing with multiple personality issue from her patient.
Their friendship starts hitting the rock bottom when they find out that they are lured to the charm of the same man, Bumi. Worse, Bumi is still keeping his relationship intact with Cempaka, a mysterious girl carrying her unpredictable past.
